The City of Galax, World Capital of Old Time Mountain Music, is proud to invite you to be a part of the 2009 Leaf & String Festival, June 12th & 13th,. We are looking forward to an exciting celebration of out cultural heritage with music, literature, and creative arts.

Virginia Covered Bridge Festival in Patrick County Saturday June 20, 2009 

The annual Virginia Covered Bridge Festival will be hosted in Woolwine, Virginia between Jacks Creek and Bob White Covered Bridges. There will be live bands, numerous artists and craftsmen exhibiting and selling their products, and food vendors. Wagon rides, tractor pulled hay rides and antique car rides will be available providing travel from one covered bridge to the other. Kids will have a terrific time at the kid activity area that has a petting zoo, moonwalk, face painting and more.

Christmas in July Festival Saturday July 4, 2009 

Ash County's Christmas in July Festival 2009 sharing our Mountain Heritage. The Christmas in July Festival will celebrate its 23rd year in 2009. The annual street festival featuring handcrafted arts and crafts, the best of local and and regional music, children's activities, great food and a flavor of the county with our "Non-profit Row" returns to the mountains of western North Carolina July 4.

Mountain Heritage Festival Celebration of Craft & Music Saturday, September 19th, 2009. 

I hope you will plan to join us September 19 for the 2009 mountain Heritage Festival. This is a special time for us. All year the county is celebrating the 150th anniversary of its founding. If you arrive in Saparta on Friday, plan to attend the street dance in the First Community Bank parking lot, 57 North Main Street. Many of the participants will be in early 19th century period attire during the festival. We will have special demonstrations and activities to highlight the 150th

Festival in Freedom Park in Charlotte, September 24th, 25th, 26th & 27th 2009. 

Since 1964 , Festival in the Park has been bringing popular and eclectic music, arts and crafts, and family entertainment to Charlotteans and visitors from around the South.
